I had an old security lock (push button type) on my sliding glass door that was stuck in the lock position. Rod
called right away and set up a time very quickly. While he couldn't fix it (it may be about 30 yrs. old), he was able
to remove it for me despite a stripped screw.

We lost a set of keys while on a walk in our neighborhood - right before leaving for a camping trip. We were
anxious to get the locks changed on very short notice. Abel's Locksmith was simultaneously courteous and
efficient on the phone, even asking where I had heard of them (Angie's List, of course). They arrived exactly when
they said they would - 3 minutes early, actually. The locksmith was very professional, finishing up in about 45
minutes.

Moved into a new house and needed to have four locks re-keyed for security.

Called about 12:30 on a Friday to get an estimate and find out when they could come out next week. Got a quote
of $125 plus tax and they said they could actually come Saturday or even that afternoon. Given the reviews on
Angie's List, I decided not to get other quotes and book the work. He said someone would be there in about two
hours. Serviceman arrived almost exactly two hours later to the minute (I think it may actually have been the
owner -- he met with my wife). Changed the locks and gave us four keys. I arrived home just as he was leaving
and realized I had two designer keys -- baseball team logos on them -- that I needed to have keyed. He stopped
and made copies at no charge. Also made sure that these copies worked in our locks.

I called Abels locksmith after my keys were stolen. Rod arrived 1 hour after I called, as promised. I was very
impressed, as I had to be at the airport that afternoon, and I couldn't leave until I got the locks changed. He was
fast, efficent and very friendly and helpfull. He even made suggestions on making my home more secure against
burglaries. The price was exactly as quoted. He even gave me 4 free keys, even though I didn't know about the
coupon offer. He put my worries at ease. Job well done!

Rod arrived on time and was very friendly. He managed to figure out two locks my husband tried to "fix," and
pieced together a deadbolt that is no longer available, thus saving us some money. He was efficient, explained
what he was doing with each lock, and gave us the four free keys from the Angieslist ad. (Sometimes I think if you
don't ask, people will just "forget," even when you tell them where you found them. An overall painless experience,
we will definitely hire him again.
